Nicholas Alexander Miloš Mestas
Nicholas Alexander Miloš Mestas is based in Los Angeles. His photographic interest rests in documenting the seemingly-mundane and everyday and capturing the vulnerable details that define our lesser-broadcast identities. Since 2008, he has managed live engagements for artists including Isabella Rossellini, Lila Downs, Jane Birkin, Aaron Neville, Carla Bruni, John Waters, Tinariwen, Seu Jorge, Ballet Folklórico de Mexico de Amalia Hernández, Buika, Paco Peña, Asaf Avidan, Izthak Perlman, Matisyahu, Angélique Kidjo, and over 100 others.
In 2013, Miloš Mestas served as the State of Israel's Director of Cultural Affairs, based at the Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles. In this capacity, he worked to advance Israel's cultural and artistic interests.
Miloš Mestas has served as a delegate to the Institut Français' FOCUS Conference in Paris and the International Exposure conference in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
His publishing house, Miloš Mestas Editions, launched in 2017. It's debut publication, a series by Australian photographer Luke Austin entitled LEWA, was elease in February 2018. Book launch events were held in Los Angeles (Please Do Not Enter), New York, (Chinatown Soup), Bucharest (Carturesti Carusel), London (The Mondrian), Paris (0fr.), Berlin (P7 Gallery), and Madrid (Berkana).
He is a graduate of Parsons School of Design and Université Paris-Sorbonne.
