Orlando Israel is a New York City-based artist and photographer whose pieces express the relationship between the Queer male gaze, fashion, and gender identity. His works range from deeply saturated photographs of queer youth and nightlife figures to highly expressionist mixed media sketches of his photos taken on his iPhone camera.
“I make art for my younger self...what would I have needed to see at fifteen or sixteen. I’m heavily inspired The City, I mainly draw from personal experiences, or my selfies. I enjoy taking actual documentation and making it look like how I interpret the memories in my mind."
