Rick Castro

Rick Castro is a photographer, filmmaker, curator, writer, and blogger living in Los Angeles. Rick co-directed and wrote the cult-classic film Hustler White (1996) and directed & co-produced the documentary Plushies & Furries (2001) for MTV. He has two books of his photography "Castro" (1990) and "13 Years of Bondage" (2004). Rick has created photographic portraits for producer Alan Poul, porn star Peter Berlin, writer Gore Vidal, director Kenneth Anger, and the 14th Dalai Lama.  Rick has created editorial photos for Christian Dior Homme, Cartier jewelry, and shoots on a regular basis for Rick Owens.  Rick’s work is archived at the Alfred Kinsey Institute,(Bloomington, IN) the Leather Museum, (Chicago, IL), Leslie-Lohman Museum, NYC, and the Tom of Finland Foundation, (Echo Park , CA). His films are archived at the Legacy Project, (UCLA, Westwood, CA).
